TECHNOLOGY

IDENTIGENE uses a combination of more than 250 different short tandem repeat (STR) markers to definitively measure biological relationships. This allows the most reliable results commercially available for measuring biological relationships such as paternity, grandparentage or siblingship. Because our in-house laboratories also provide ancestry, research, and forensic DNA testing services, we draw from a wide range of tools and technology to answer questions of identity and relatedness.

Our laboratory generates results for most paternity tests within 3-5 business days. (Prenatal DNA testing and other DNA tests may take up 8 weeks.) Completed DNA test results instantly upload to our online database, allowing immediate access for consumers. IDENTIGENE designs DNA test reports to be easily read and understood. We also maintain a staff of knowledgeable DNA Test Consultants and laboraotry scientists to answer questions about results or the DNA testing process.
