How to Use the IDENTIGENE DNA Paternity Test Kit

Each DNA Paternity Test kit contains:

• Easy-to-follow instructions (English and Spanish)
• 3 packets of cheek swabs
• 3 specimen envelopes
• 1 order form
• 1 postage paid return envelope

Each kit contains materials for testing the alleged father, mother, and child.

Step 1: Fill Out the Order Form and Paperwork

The paternity test kit contains everything you need. Just fill out the Order Form and Sample Envelopes with the names of the people being tested.

Step 2: Swab Inside the Mouth

Each person being tested uses one (1) packet with three (3) swabs. Use each of the three (3) swabs and gently scrape the inside of the cheek to collect loose skin cells (this is not a saliva test, be sure to rub against the cheek to get loose skin cells on the swab).

Note: Before swabbing, wait at least one hour after eating or drinking.

Step 3: Mail to IDENTIGENE

Place the Swab Envelopes and the Order Form into the postage-paid mailer. Once your samples arrive at the lab, you'll have results in just 2 working days.

Step 4: Access Results Online

Log in to the site with your username (your email address) and password (written down on your Order Form). You can download and print your complete results right from the website.
