Immigration DNA test results are required for most visa applications involving family emigrating to the U.S. IDENTIGENE offers years of experience in DNA Paternity Testing for Immigration and understands how to work with the US Embassy to ensure DNA test results are properly submitted with your application. Submit a Visa Application
Contact the embassy to submit a visa application. The embassy will assign a visa application number (case number).

Arrange DNA Collection Appointments
An IDENTIGENE DNA Test Consultant will assist you with arranging DNA collection appointments for each person participating in the DNA test living in the U.S. The embassy will provide a list of collection sites in their country for the emigrating DNA test participant.

DNA Test Sample Collection
At the collection appointment, each person provides proof of identity (driver's license, birth certificate, passport) for the collector. The collector obtains DNA samples from each DNA test participant, using the safe and effective cheek swabs provided by IDENTIGENE. After witnessing the DNA collection and signing copies of the identity documents, the collector sends the samples directly to our DNA paternity testing lab via express courier.

DNA Test Reporting
Choose how your results are reported: online, over the phone, or have a hard copy of the DNA test results mailed directly to you. You may also have a copy of the DNA test results sent directly to an attorney or government official.
DNA TEST RESULTS FOR THE EMBASSY
Immigration DNA tests, or DNA testing for immigration purposes, like legal paternity testing, requires accurate test results as well as proof of identity for each person participating in the DNA test. For legal cases, IDENTIGENE tracks your DNA samples from the time they are collected at one of our DNA collection sites, or approved embassy facility, until the time they arrive in our DNA paternity testing laboratory. Following this chain-of-custody procedure outlined in the accreditation guidelines offers proof of paternity (or non-paternity) as well as proof of identity to the embassy officials and to the I.N.S.

- Q. How accurate are the DNA paternity test results?
- A. Identigene paternity tests are the most reliable results available and are extremely accurate. When collected properly, Identigene results can be used in court for divorce, child support, inheritance or even criminal cases (forensics). Typically, test results probabilities are greater than 99.99%.
An accredited laboratory, Identigene adheres to strict scientific guidelines for every test. Most test types can be upgraded to a 'legal test' for use in court (see more information about legal testing).
