DNA TEST RESULTS FOR THE EMBASSY

Immigration DNA tests, or DNA testing for immigration purposes, requires accurate test results as well as proof of identity for each person participating in the DNA test. For legal cases, IDENTIGENE tracks your DNA samples from the time they're collected at one of our DNA collection sites, or approved embassy facility, until the time they arrive in our DNA testing laboratory. Following this chain-of-custody procedure outlined in the accreditation guidelines offers proof of paternity (or non-paternity) as well as proof of identity to the embassy officials and to the I.N.S.

HOW IMMIGRATION DNA TESTING WORKS

Immigration DNA Testing with IDENTIGENE is accurate and reliable - and IDENTIGENE is there every step of the way. Before you purchase a DNA test for immigration you, or your family member, should contact the embassy to submit a visa application. The embassy will assign a visa application number (case number) and request that you get a legal DNA test. The embassy will usually provide a list of approved collection sites in their country or have a specimen collector on site at the embassy to collect samples from the emigrating participant.

In the U.S., an IDENTIGENE DNA Test Consultant will assist you with arranging DNA collection appointments for each person participating in the test living in the U.S.

At the collection appointment, each person provides proof of identity (driver's license, birth certificate, passport) for the collector. The collector obtains DNA samples from each participant, using the safe and effective cheek swabs provided by IDENTIGENE. After witnessing the DNA collection and signing copies of the identity documents, the collcter sends the samples directly to the laboratory via express courier.

You choose how results are reported: Access your DNA test results online or over the phone using your case number and results password or have a hard copy of the test resuts mailed directly to you. You may also have a copy of the test results sent directly to an attorney, embassy officer, or other government official.

4. Bring proof of identity documents to the DNA collection appointment.
5. Collect DNA samples using the swabs provided by the DNA specimen collector.
6. The collector sends DNA samples directly to IDENTIGENE for testing.
7. DNA Testing Results provided by mail, phone or online.
