COURT-ADMISSIBLE DNA TEST RESULTS

"Legal" DNA tests, or DNA testing for legal purposes, requires accurate test results as well as proof of identity for each person participating in the DNA test. For legal cases, IDENTIGENE tracks your DNA samples from the time they're collected at one of our DNA collection sites until the time they arrive in our DNA testing laboratory. Following this chain-of-custody procedure outlined in the accreditation guidelines offers proof of paternity (or non-paternity) as well as proof of identity to a judge, social worker, embassy or other government official.

DNA COLLECTION NETWORK

IDENTIGENE partners with a nationwide network of DNA specimen collectors. The DNA collector documents proof of identity for each person in the DNA paternity test using photographs, driver's licenses, birth certificates, passports, etc., on the DNA Chain-of-Custody form. The collector witnesses the DNA sample collection from each participant. The collector then seals the DNA specimens and Chain-of-Custody paperwork and sends all materials directly to the laboratory. This process tracks your samples from the time of collection all the way through DNA testing

HOW LEGAL DNA TESTING WORKS

Legal DNA Testing with IDENTIGENE is fast, accurate and provides solid DNA evidence. Purchase a Legal DNA Test online or call 1-800-DNA-TYPE (800-362-8973) to place your order. One of our DNA Test Consultants will assist you with arranging DNA collection appointments for each person participating in the test.

At the collection appointment, provide proof of identity (driver's license, birth certificate, passport) for the collector. Collect DNA samples from each participant, Alleged Father, Child, and Biological Mother (it is strongly recommended to include the mother; learn why), using the safe and effective cheek swabs provided by the collector. After witnessing the DNA collection and signing copies of the identity documents, the collcter sends the samples directly to the laboratory via express courier.

You choose how results are reported: Access your DNA test results online using the email address and results password you provide on the order form. You can also access your results over the phone (password required) and/or have a hard copy of the test results mailed directly to you, an attorney, judge, social worker, embassy officer, or other government official.
