My son was born 16 months before I finally decided a DNA test was necessary. His mother and I were never a couple and so many had asked if I would have DNA testing done.
We had gotten along very well for several months, never romantically linked but certainly close friends because of the incredible life we'd managed to create together. Our son was growing and learning and laughing and playing, capturing everyone's heart in the process.
She reconnected with a man from her past who I learned she had previously dated. She then moved back to her hometown (2 hours away) with my son, leaving me with many questions. I finally decided to take my friends' advice and have DNA testing done to ensure she was being truthful and this amazing little boy was biologically my son.
The Identigene DNA Paternity Test results would not have affected my relationship with my son. I love him far too much whether or not biology is on my side. But no there are no questions in my mind. My son and I share the same DNA, and my questions have been answered. I love him more than anything, and Identigene's paternity test put my mind at ease and struck down my worst fear.
